Greatly Loved, Wanted + Significant
What do you have to offer? Do you ever ask yourself that question? It’s hard sometimes... we know ourselves and we are very acquainted with our own weaknesses. The enemy will beat us up with painful reminders of our failures. He’ll then compare our gifts and abilities to that of others, which... if heeded, will leave us with feelings of insignificance and even shame for ever thinking we could achieve anything of worth.
It’s one of the enemy's favorite tricks. If he can get the power filled Bride of Christ to believe she’s no more than an outcast in God’s Kingdom, He can paralyze you, merely by his lies. In Hosea 4:6 (MSG) it says: My people are ruined because they don't know what's right or true. Because you've turned your back on knowledge, I've turned my back on you priests. Because you refuse to recognize the revelation of God, I'm no longer recognizing your children.
Why do you think there’s so many distractions when it comes to reading your Bible? The enemy will do whatever it takes to keep you from opening it. It’s sad to say, but so many who profess to be Christians admit they just don’t like to read, or they don’t have time to study God’s Word... as if it’s optional... it’s just not possible to know our God, much less who we are in Christ if there’s no effort to read what He has to say.
I’ll admit, there are days that I still struggle with feelings of insignificance. I find His love for me hard to understand and His desire to use someone like me, almost incomprehensible when there are so many who are much more qualified. In those moments, I cry out to Him for His reassurance and open my Bible for the confirmation of His mercy and love. As I read about every human He’s ever used for His glory, I realize I’m not alone. They were each imperfect people with one common thread... they loved their Lord and were willing to do whatever He called them to do! No matter how uncomfortable it may have felt or how unqualified they believed they were, they simply gave up their rights and surrendered to His will.
I realize I’m not the best writer and certainly not the best teacher or speaker, but I also realize who lives inside of me! So, I step aside and allow His glory to be magnified in and through me. You see, realizing your natural weakness is actually a prequalification for His service. He’s not looking for the prideful who know they can do great things in their own strength. He’s looking for those who humbly give Him all glory for anything and everything He accomplishes through their earthly vessel. The important thing is, we must believe what God says about us more than what the enemy or even our own mind is telling us.
No more excuses! No more saying that you can’t do it... you can do anything He asks you to do, and it will be perfect and incomparable to anyone else’s gift, because it will be done by His anointing, and it will be specifically designed to touch others through you! He’s created you with purpose. Seek His face, study His Word then share it in the way He’s called you to! You were born for such a time as this! You’re not second rate or an afterthought! You are greatly loved, wanted and significant!
Esther 4:14 (NKJV) For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Ephesians 3:18-20 (TPT) Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.
