Crowned with Glory
Psalm 8:3-5 (NLT) When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.
Our God is so great and mighty that He breathes the stars into space - He speaks and light appears - He is so great and powerful and still takes the time to care about every detail of our lives. He has crowned us with glory and honor, mere humans, created in the image of God! His thoughts about us are greater than the grains of sand, numbers we cannot even fathom. We are crowned with the glory of God and people will notice there is something different about us because of it.
As we continue to grow in our faith and spend more time with Jesus, the glory of God becomes more evident. I remember the first time I noticed the glory of God on someone, it was my pastor from the first church I went to, he was talking to Josh and I about marriage as we were newly engaged and I recognized the glow that was on him. I remember thinking how I wanted to have that same glow and it encouraged me to grow closer to God.
Today I want to encourage you to continue pursuing Jesus more and more each day. Ask for Him to speak to you clearly about your life and what He would have you do next. Keep your trust and confidence in Him - have Godfidence - knowing who you are in Him, never compromising but continually being crowned with glory.
Hebrews 6:12 (AMP) So that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.
