You Have What They Are Searching For!
We are surrounded by a lost and broken world every day of our lives. Does your heart break for their souls?
We are so blessed to know Jesus and experience the active work of the Holy Spirit in our lives on a daily basis. We all come from different backgrounds and we have individual testimonies of what the work of the cross has done in changing our lives and redeeming our souls. Not one of us ever deserved the sacrifice Jesus made for us... it's by His amazing grace that we are saved and His desire is that all come to His saving knowledge. Yet... we live life as if we are the center of our universe and everything revolves around us. Our needs and desires are the motivation of our lives and our prayers are filled with requests instead of tears being shed for the lost and dying.
Our hearts must break for what breaks His. We have to see past our 4 walls into the world around us. People are slipping into the pit of hell every day and many are heading in that direction simply because a child of God never took the time to share their heart with them. We would all agree that there's nothing more important in our lives than our salvation, yet often our conversations will lead to anything but that.
Open your eyes and become spiritually conscious of those around you. Ask God to fill you with His love and compassion, then minister the Gospel from that place. Not judgment... but sincere love for the lost...no matter how that package looks or how they act. Regardless of how sinful or angry they may be or even how "good" of a person they seem to be ... they are in desperate need of a Savior that loves them more than anyone ever could.
Look around today and see who needs the truth that you have, ask the Holy Spirit to minister through you, then open your mouth and allow His truth to pierce their hearts.
1 Timothy 2:4 (NKJV) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Matthew 9:37-38 (NKJV) Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Mark 16:15 (NKJV) And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
1 Peter 3:15 (NLT) Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!
