uganda child sponsorship
Redemption Church has been partnering with three orphanages in Uganda since 2024. These children's homes are overseen by Silas and Betty. They started taking children into their home in the 1980's, and today, have over 800 kids in their care.
One home is an HIV orphanage in Jinja with about 200 children. The other homes are in the Fort Portal area, along with several schools and trade schools, which includes around 600 children.
Since our partnership began 2024, the Lord has helped us raise over $150,000 to complete the following:

a corn mill & mill building with an office and storage

a new vehicle for Silas & Betty to transport food from the mill to the schools & children's homes

new bathrooms at the Jinja children's home

purchase of 10 acres of land for additional farming to feed the children

a new tractor for farming efficiency
We have the following project in progress as of January 2026:

Our greatest joy is connecting each child with a sponsor. As of January 2026, we have over 100 children sponsored at $30/month.
