Mourning into Dancing

Psalm 30:11-12 (NLT) You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

God is the One who can take someone's sorrows and turn them into joy - this doesn't mean that we are joyful when something bad happens - rather, He will help us fix our focus on Jesus and we can stop magnifying the sad situation. As we focus on Him and His goodness, even in the midst of sadness, we can have hope about our future. Looking at our lives on the timeline of eternity - Wow! - we really are just living for a moment. In this moment we can go through all sorts of emotions and feelings that are really just temporary. If we zoom out and see the big picture - the messes we go through are nothing! We must keep the end goal in mind when we walk through life - Jesus!

Our goal is to get to Jesus and take as many people as we can with us. God can turn your sadness into gladness when you grab ahold of His purpose for your life. The trials we go through will be like stepping stones - they will all be used to help someone else and God will get the glory. Be content with what you have right now and focus on Jesus - His mercies are new every morning. God will never ever ever leave you - He is always there with you even if you don't feel Him. Keep your confidence and trust in Him - He will not let you down. There is nothing to fear for He knows our future and has great plans for us - man can do nothing to stop the plans of God. Look up! Pray your way through each day and press in, press in, press in…

Hebrews 13:5-6 (TPT) Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”
