Want Peace?

Matthew 25:21 (KJV) His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Do you long for true joy in your life? The kind that's basted in immovable peace, kindled by passion for Christ and ignited by His love? The path is really quite easy to find if you're sincerely looking...

It's faithful obedience that keeps us on the straight and narrow. Your eyes must remain on Christ even as the temptations of the world are beckoning. Have you ever been to a carnival? Back in the day they would holler at you from every direction as you walked past the games. Each worker wanted your attention so you would spend your money at their booth. It was hard to think or speak because the volume of their voices was so loud and distracting. That's how it can be when sin and the stresses of life take center stage. If the enemy can capture your attention he won't stop there, he will continue to take up the territory, if you'll let him.

We've seen it over and over again in my son and daughter-in-law's church as well as my mother's. Healing and deliverance of demonic control have been a big part of our family's ministries. You would see these wonderful people who opened up a small part of themselves to unforgiveness, lust, gossip, pride or other types of sin... just a little taste... how could it hurt? As the sin was left unchecked and unrepented, it soon became a part of them and the small crack in the door was kicked wide open as the enemy moved in and wreaked havoc upon their lives.

Close the door to the enemy and renew your mind and find your identity in the Word of God! Spend time in prayer and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Be faithful to the Lord and seek to please Him above all else. Move to eliminate selfishness and search for those you can bless. Let Holiness and purity be your goal and resist the temptations that are calling out to you.

Get help if needed but keep pressing forward into the divine life the Lord has prepared just for you!! Freedom, joy, wholeness, peace, power and authority belongs to you and by the grace of God it's attainable!! Don't settle for anything less!

Romans 6:11-14 (NKJV) Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV) Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Mark 9:21-29 (NKJV) So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?" So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

[If you feel you need deliverance, find a church or a Christian that's filled with the Spirit and boldly moves in the power and authority they've been given and ask for them to lay hands and pray over you. We are here for each other and seeing people set free of the control and manipulation of the enemy is such a blessing!!]
