The Blessing of the Closed Door!

Matthew 6:6 (NLT) But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

I know that we are to pray without ceasing. In the car, on the job, at school and while shopping... It's always time to pray, to share our needs, keep our minds focused on Him and run every decision by Him. But there's a time in each day that the desire to be alone with Him must surpass our own agenda. There's a tugging on each of our hearts to come away with Him... to a Secret Place... all alone with the door closed, leaving all the issues and cares behind. It's the precious time set aside for our union with the King of kings and Lord of lords! It's a such a privilege to step through the doorway, knowing He's waiting and desires to spend time interacting with us!

It's so easy to get busy and end the day worn out, with nothing left to give Him. There's nothing more important in our lives than Jesus! He gave everything for this relationship... He gave everything for YOU! Ignoring Him for even one day should never be an option! The more time you spend away from Him the easier it gets and the harder it is to feel the promptings and hear His voice. Soon the enemy finds an opening and begins to wreak havoc in our lives. Sadly, the Lord often gets blamed for this outcome, when all the time He was waiting...

If what I'm writing is foreign to you, start out by setting a small amount of time just for Him! Read some scriptures, put on some worship music, then share your heart... tell Him how much you love and appreciate Him, even if all hell is breaking out against you, you'll feel His peace as you worship Him. Don't feel anything? Keep showing up and pressing through all the thoughts and doubts and come determined to bless Him! He deserves it! As you continue to come, your time will increase, hunger will develop for His Word as you begin to desire to know His heart. You will soon become a passionate lover of Jesus and what was once a discipline and perhaps a chore will be your greatest desire and the strength and joy of your life!

There's nothing that compares to knowing your Bride Groom! I mean really knowing, enjoying, seeking and surrendering to Him! As you give Him access to every area of your life, He'll make the necessary changes as He heals every wound and gives you the strength and anointing to do His will!!

Let the highlight of your day be closing that door and getting alone with Him! There's nothing in this earth that can compare!!

Song of Solomon 2:10 (NKJV) My beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away."

Matthew 11:28-30-28-30 (MSG) “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Psalms 91:1 (NKJV) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
