Moved with Compassion

Matthew 9:35-36 (KJV) And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
In the midst of healing the sick and preaching the Gospel, Jesus was moved with compassion for those who were lost, wondering aimlessly without direction or guidance. Has your heart been moved with compassion lately? Life can be so busy and it's easy to get preoccupied with your own problems. The enemy wants it that way. He will cause enough distractions and diversions to hold our attention. If you'll let him, he'll wear you down until there's nothing left to give... even to God.
So many Christians have a "Disney" perspective. Let's hide away in our cozy bubble from the troubles of the world and believe that everything is fine. The trouble with that ideology is, it prevents us from interceding for the lost and broken. It keeps us from seeing the troubles in our world, country, and communities. Much less feel the pain of those that are hurting.
So, let's get real for a moment and talk about the things going on outside our four walls that no one wants to discuss. There are thousands of women and children being held captive in horrific situations that need someone to stand in the gap, praying for their safety, freedom, and healing. Satanic worship has become the norm in Hollywood, the music industry, and the government. Where are the Christians? Our heads can no longer be buried in the sand. It's the prayers of the righteous that changes the course of history and brings deliverance and healing to those that are oppressed.
Yes! Help and pray for those that your able to help but also pray for those that you can't. Those that are suffering with hidden torment that no one sees. Cry out for those that are hurting! Ask God to break your heart for what breaks His! It's through our prayers that His power is activated and sets His Word in motion to touch this horrifically tormented world! Allow His compassion to move you as you begin to pray for those you have never met. The work of the cross was never meant to be stored in our own private box. It's time the church stands up and makes a divine impact against the forces of hell and begins to see the captives set free!
Ezekiel 22:29-31 (KJV) The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore, have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
Luke 10:19 (KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
James 5:15-18 (KJV) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Luke 4:18-19 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Galatians 6:2 (KJV) Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
