Goodness + Mercy

Psalm 23:5-6 (NKJV) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

The Lord is always good. No matter the circumstances we face, He is good. It is easy to sit back and stress over the difficulties we face when we aren't keeping our focus on Jesus. We must remember the twenty-third Psalm - surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. This is what I meditate upon when stress attempts to sneak in my thoughts and pull me away from Jesus.

Changing your perspective from the natural to the supernatural and from your circumstances to God's promises, will shift your attitude from negative to positive. It will cause you to grow in your trust upon the Lord and away from believing you can do it all alone and rely on yourself.

No matter what it looks like, speak life over your situation. Speak life over your marriage, your children, your school, your workplace, your church, those you disciple and those who mentor you.

Psalm 23:3-4 (NKJV) He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

The presence of God is the only place to be when you need rest for your soul. He will bring the peace and comfort to you that you deeply long for and desire.

Hebrews 4:16 (TPT) So now we draw near freely and boldly to where grace is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

His grace is sufficient for us in our time of need, trust in the Lord. Study His Word and spend time in His presence, you will be refreshed and find that much needed rest.

Walk in love and joy because His goodness and mercy is following you! What shall you fear?
