Write Your Vision
Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV) Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time but at the end it will speak and it will not lie. Though it tarries wait for it because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
What vision do you have for your future? What do you dream of accomplishing in ministry? Surely we all desire to please God and be in the center of His will, bottom line. But what does that look like for you?
What giftings has God instilled in you and anointed you to use for His glory? Are they being utilized or are they dormant? We were not created to be miserable! Are you full of oil or running low? Do you need a fresh anointing?
Psalm 92:10 (TPT) Your anointing has made me strong and mighty. You’ve empowered my life for triumph by pouring fresh oil over me.
Do you have a vision for your family? What are you doing today to impact your vision and help bring it forth? Is it written down? It is placed in your heart or hanging on the wall? To be spiritually successful, you need to know your vision and know where you're going and how to get there. You cannot do it alone, you must be yielded to the spirit of God.
Psalm 119:48 (TPT) I long for more revelation of your truth, for I love the light of your word as I meditate on your decrees.
Marilyn Hickey says it this way: There are 3 parts to meditating on the Word of God
M.V.P. Memorize, Visualize, Personalize
Joshua 1:8 (AMP) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
We must know the Word!
Colossians 3:2 (AMP) Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value].
Knowing the scriptures is a big key to a successful prayer life. You can pray boldly before the throne of grace knowing that you are praying in the will of God. Take a moment to pray and ask God for a clear vision of what He wants to accomplish through you. Ask for a scripture to stand on to go along with your vision.
What you speak has power.
Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.
What's in your mind reveals your heart - what on earth are you thinking? Are you smiling on the outside but cursing someone out on the inside? If so that reveals what is in your heart. Let's replace that with the Word. Let the process begin so you can start to look act and think like Jesus and not just perform lip service. Faith without works is dead. Let's act on our faith, let's activate what we say we believe.
