Fearlessly Fulfilling Your Destiny

As most of you know, we moved from St. Louis to Florida almost 3 years ago. Though leaving our church and family was difficult, the move was quite exciting, we absolutely knew God was moving us here and He had a great plan in the process.

Once we got planted in a new church a very strange thing happened. I began to experience fear and insecurity in a way I had not experienced before. I had never lived anywhere but St. Louis and spent my Christian life in either my mother's church, our son's or one that had been very familiar to us for many years. Now suddenly I felt my roots were torn as I was forced out of my comfort zone.

I found myself in a church filled with people I felt were much more intelligent and educated than I was. I was asked to teach a class and though I agreed out of my love for God and serving Him, I was terrified.

I went to a class for all the teachers and as one by one, they introduced themselves and shared their qualifications, my insecurities were hightened and I felt that God must have the wrong person... Have you ever felt that way? There's an incredible calling for each of us but how easily it can be forfeited due to the enemy's lies.

I did battle just as I always do, in the Secret Place, seeking the Lord, denouncing the lies, and deciding not to partner with what the enemy was saying. It was obviously contrary to the Lord's plan.

I, like all of you, am very different, my teaching style isn't like the others, but the truth is they aren't like each other either. We must realize that in the midst of our differences is a uniqueness that God desires to use to reveal a different side of His character and love. Yield to the process and step into the greatest pleasure of your life... doing what you were created to do. At first you may have to step out with some fear and insecurity but continue to be obedient and decree the desired outcome. Soon the anointing will take precedence over fear, and you will become strong and courageous, fully trusting that He will complete what He has begun in you! He has a plan, and you are part of it! No one can do what He's called and anointed you to do!

1 Corinthians 2:1-4 (KJV) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (NLT) Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
