Extravagant Love

Ephesians 3:17-20 (TLB) And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high His love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God Himself. Now glory be to God, who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. May He be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of His master plan of salvation for the Church through Jesus Christ.

I'm meditating on these scriptures tonight. Read them a few times and allow them to sink in. There's such power in these Words. There's nothing I want more than for Jesus to be more and more at home in my heart. Where do you feel at home? It's when we are invited, wanted, and welcomed in someone's house that we feel comfortable there. God desires time with His children but He won't force His way in and remain if He's ignored and unwanted. I don't think any of us do this on purpose, but life has a way of keeping us busy and often exhausted. Diversions bombard us from every side and before you know it, another day has gone by, it's time for bed and you've hardly had time for the One that means the most to you. When less time is spent thinking about Him, stress and anxiety quickly tries to creep in.

We need to be renewed and refreshed in His presence daily. That's how we were designed to function. We must become completely desperate for Him! It's only in close proximity to His heart that we are secure and at peace. Our roots must be planted deep in our relationship with our Savior and that only comes from hearing His heart through reading our Bibles, pouring ours out to Him, and waiting and listening in our time spent in His presence. As this relationship is developed, His love for us becomes undeniable and we become strong and unshakable! We must know and believe that we are loved, wanted, and created with a purpose, then allow it all to be revealed to us in the Secret Place.

His love for you is extravagant, incredible and marvelous! We were designed for it and incomplete without the realization of it! Don't waste another day... seek Him... He has great plans for your life but it all stems from your time spent with Him!
