Desire to go Deeper!
As I'm sharing my heart with God, I express to Him my desire to go deeper. I don't want to remain where I am spiritually any longer. I want to know Him better today than I did yesterday and more tomorrow than I do today. Spiritual mediocrity does not produce the type of fruit I desire. My first priority is to seek Him. I can honestly say it's not about what I can get, but completely about my relationship Him. I want to know the one who created me. I want to understand the incomprehensible intricacies of His heart. It calls out to me and stirs an unquenchable thirst for more of Him. I want to know and please you Jesus. How can I, mere flesh and blood, a product of your hands, bring pleasure to you? It burns within my soul! This life means nothing if not spent fulfilling the desires of my Savior. Commit to set time aside enjoying the fulfillment that only comes from gazing at His beauty, focusing completely on Him and resting in His arms. It will draw you into a different realm of experiencing His love and tangible presence. It leads you to repentance, removes all fear and ignites faith, peace, joy, healing and passion.
I know I have a long way to go and I'll never reach the end of His glory and strength, but the journey is incredible. I don't know how to explain it because there's nothing to compare it to. The greatest joy and blessings of this earth are not even a glimpse of what I feel when I'm with Jesus. There's a special bond experienced by those who chase after Him simply out of love and passion, not selfish desires. Set everything aside, not seeking your own pleasure or physical gain, but just to touch His heart. It will change your perception of your God and ultimately your life!
Ephesians 3:18-19 (TPT) Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude[a] of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
Isaiah 40:28-31 (NLT) Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Romans 11:33-36 (TPT) Who could ever wrap their minds around the riches of God, the depth of his wisdom, and the marvel of his perfect knowledge? Who could ever explain the wonder of his decisions or search out the mysterious way he carries out his plans? For who has discovered how the Lord thinks or is wise enough to be the one to advise him in his plans? Or: “Who has ever first given something to God that obligates God to owe him something in return?” For out of him, the sustainer of everything, came everything, and now everything finds fulfillment in him. May all praise and honor be given to him forever! Amen!
