2021!

I’d love to write what everyone wants to hear about this new year. That the worst is behind us and there’s nothing but blessings ahead. The truth is, we live in a fallen world and it’s all wrapping up quickly! Don’t worry, this isn’t a hopeless message! You see, we serve a God who loves us and is active in the details of the lives of His children. Regardless of what’s happening on the outside we can live in complete peace on the inside but there’s a price...

Don’t waste your time starting out this year with worthless, temporary resolutions. Today, begin to seek Jesus like never before. Forget about the religious ceremonies and memorized prayers. Open your heart to Him and ask Him to reveal the areas that need to be fortified. This is a plea to stop looking forward to someday having an intimate relationship with Him! Today is the day!! There’s no longer time to waste! You can’t wait until your house has been broken into to suddenly begin to workout and learn how to fight the intruder. We must be prepared for what’s ahead, so that come what may, we will not be moved! By the way, the future isn’t all about us! We are surrounded by a world of darkness that desperately needs someone to illuminate the path and grasp them out of the clutches of hell! They also need to see the manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit! All the things that He said we should be doing should be evident in our lives. Healing the sick, raising the dead, performing miracles and bringing the lost to Christ! In the book of Acts, the lost were added to the church daily! What has happened to the church!? The watered down Word of God no longer has the power to shed a tear, much less transform a life!

Spiritual effectiveness does not happen automatically because we believe in Jesus or prayed a prayer. It comes from a people who are willing to pay the price, above all else to see a move of God in their lives, family, community and world! It’s time the Bride of Christ takes up her sword and becomes all that she was called to be! A powerful Warrior Bride! Filled with power and motivated by love! We need to be close enough to God and filled with His Word to hear His voice and speak life into those who are dying and so filled with His Spirit that just as Peter, even our shadow heals the sick! I don’t know about you, but I’m not there yet! We haven’t scratched the surface of all that the Holy Spirit desires to do in and through us!

Don’t wait till tomorrow! Today is the day to begin to seek Jesus in a way few have ever sought Him before! Repent and seek holiness above the controlling forces of the sinful nature. Ask the Holy Ghost to baptize you in His Spirit, surrender your life and give Him the reigns!

It’s a new day and a new year, don’t make a resolution to seek Him with passion, make a vow and keep it! Your life and that of those around you depends on it! This new year will be whatever you decide to make of it. There’s nothing you can’t accomplish or overcome BY HIS SPIRIT!

John 14:12-14 (TPT) “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!”

Acts 5:15-16 (NLT) As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (NLT) Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

James 4:7-10 (NLT) So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
