When the Going Gets Tough
1 Peter 4:12-14 (TPT) Beloved friends, if life gets extremely difficult, with many tests, don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you. Instead, continue to rejoice, for you, in a measure, have shared in the sufferings of the Anointed One so that you can share in the revelation of his glory and celebrate with even greater gladness! If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are greatly blessed, because the Spirit of glory and power, who is the Spirit of God, rests upon you.
Have you ever been through hell and thought, "what is going on?! What did I do wrong?? How is this even happening?" I've been there, wondering and confused, angry and hurt. I want to let you know that even though crazy circumstances may surround you, God has not left you! Even more so, if you are going through persecution and trials all because of your faith, the Bible tells us to rejoice - because it is proof that God is working in our lives.
We are a great threat to the enemy when we profess Christ. Peter tells us not to be bewildered when life gets tough. We are sharing in His sufferings and He is getting glory. Allow these difficult times to push you right into the arms of Jesus. Get down on your knees and pray - seek God with all you have! Breakthrough is coming! God is for you - sweet victory is here! Death has been defeated, if you could see the enemy for who he really is you would laugh in his face! Do not fear the unknown - God has your back! Keep pursuing Jesus, remaining joyful during the good and the bad. Get back at the enemy and prove that you are an overcomer through Christ Jesus. Lift your head high and be a clean vessel for the Lord Almighty in Jesus name!
1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Corinthians 15:55 (NLT) O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?
