The Perfect Moment

Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 (NLT) Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead. When clouds are heavy, the rains come down. Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls. Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest. Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.

Have you ever tried to figure everything out before acting on something you needed to do? Maybe you have been waiting for the "perfect" moment to do something important, like ask someone special on a date, plan a family vacation (once things settle down at home - right), talk to your boss about new opportunities to use your skills, or even start a family. The truth is life happens, we don't always know what the outcome will be but if we keep waiting we are guaranteed to miss out on great opportunities. Make plans - schedule something in the calendar that doesn't involve work! It is so important to take time to rest and be refreshed! If the farmer was hesitant to plant seed because of the fear of poor weather conditions, he will miss his harvest and become poor, desperate for food himself. I feel like this is for somebody today - don't wait any longer! Just go do what God is calling you to do! Stop trying to figure it all out and take that leap of faith. God is with you and He is for you! Follow peace and take courage knowing that He will never fail you. We may not understand God's ways but His ways will always be better than our ways. Plant your seeds - your time, your deeds, your finances - and continue going forward - casting your cares about "what if" upon Him. Surrender your perfect timing and perfect conditions and step out of the boat - keeping your eyes on Jesus! He will never fail you!

Luke 9:23 (TPT) Jesus said to all of his followers, “If you truly desire to be my disciple, you must disown your life completely, embrace my ‘cross’ as your own, and surrender to my ways."

Hebrews 13:20-21 (TPT) Now may the God who brought us peace by raising from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ so that he would be the Great Shepherd of his flock; and by the power of the blood of the eternal covenant may he work perfection into every part of you giving you all that you need to fulfill your destiny. And may he express through you all that is excellent and pleasing to him through your life-union with Jesus the Anointed One who is to receive all glory forever! Amen!
