Living on Purpose

Who do you serve? Let's take a moment to think about this. We have a limited amount of time left on this earth. As you think about that... does it make you want to do more for Jesus or more for your own pleasure. This isn't a trick question and I'm not trying to bring condemnation to anyone, but a little conviction never hurts:) Sometimes we need to ask ourselves these hard questions in order to see the true condition of our hearts. When you plan for the future... do you consider that God may also have a plan and does that take precedence over your own?

The fact is, He does have a plan for your life and chances are it doesn't look anything like your desires or dreams...yet... it's the only thing that will make you feel complete. Well, of course we are complete through the work of the cross and salvation, but your greatest fulfillment is found as you build your relationship with Christ, begin to hear His voice, then follow His lead.

You weren't created to just live life searching for pleasure. Worldly joy is unfulfilling and leaves you feeling empty. It's when you begin to realize your calling and start taking steps in that direction, no matter what the cost, that you will find your greatest joy. You were divinely designed for a specific purpose. That's why we are constantly pointing you to Jesus... all of your answers can be found in a deeply intimate relationship with Him. That's where you'll get the direction you need for a blessed life. Not a perfect life and not one that's without trials, but lived with purpose, closely connected to the source of your victory, power, joy, peace and love.

Stop wasting time wondering why God's not blessing your plans and begin to walk in HIS! Start by opening your Bible and learning first hand what the Lord has to say to you. Then spend time in worship and prayer. He has a lot He desires to share, but as I always say... you've got to get close enough to hear His voice.

Enjoying life and having fun is fine, as long as what He wants is always on the forefront and our "fun" doesn't keep us from His will and time in His presence.

James 4:13-15 (NKJV) Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Proverbs 19:21 (NLT) You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
