What Will it Take?

What will it take for revival to sweep our land?

It will take a body of believers that will not bow down to the world. God is looking for a people that will stand up for His Word and His glory. Jesus is not coming back for a filthy, lukewarm bride. He is returning for a spotless bride - a church that is completely sold-out to Him; a church that has truly counted the cost and desires to serve Him no matter what; a church that has said "Yes, Lord!" for eternity's sake; a church that could care less about the world's standard or morals but only cares about what the Father thinks; a church that stands for holiness, righteousness and truth.

Will you be one of the sold-out lovers of Jesus? Will you stand up for His truth? Will you be counted among the Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's of our time? God didn't rescue them before the fire, God saved them in the fire! Are you willing to do absolutely anything for Jesus? What is holding you back from truly stepping into your full potential?

If God says "go" will you immediately go or will you begin writing down your plan of how to go? How much time do you think we have left? How many people have you witnessed to in this last year? What are you doing for Jesus?

Ephesians 5:25-27 (NLT) For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

Let's look at this passage in Ephesians - Paul is an excellent example of being sold-out for Jesus!

Ephesians 3:7-11 ITPT) Yet all of the accomplishments that I once took credit for, I’ve now forsaken them and I regard it all as nothing compared to the delight of experiencing Jesus Christ as my Lord! To truly know him meant letting go of everything from my past and throwing all my boasting on the garbage heap. It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that I may be enriched in the reality of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace him as Lord in all of his greatness. My passion is to be consumed with him and not cling to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law. My only “righteousness” will be his, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—the very righteousness that comes from God. And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus and to experience the overflowing power of his resurrection working in me. I will be one with him in his sufferings and become like him in his death. Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with him in his resurrection from the realm of death.

Wow, he could no longer boast about his own righteousness, he compared his righteousness to a pile of manure! Nothing compares to the wonder, perfection, and righteousness of our God! Jesus gave His all on the cross, God gave us His absolute best so we could be in a relationship with Him. Where does Jesus land on your priority list?

Prepare your heart and genuinely ask the Lord to wreck you. Once you become undone in His presence, all of the plans that you thought were perfect and great, will mean nothing. Allow God to rearrange your schedule as you are fully led by Him and immersed in His presence. It will be the greatest blessing!

God, prepare us for revival. Prepare our hearts to receive correction. Prepare us to love all we encounter the way Jesus loves them. Let us be the people that brings glory to your name!
