Your Eternal Purpose

ree

Whether you are new to the Christian faith or you’ve been serving God for years, you need to evaluate your purpose for this relationship. If it’s purely out of selfish motives, then you’re really wasting your time. Peace and blessings flow from a life that’s passionate for Jesus and has surrendered their will in exchange for His. It’s only in the realization that we are the habitation of God…His Holy Temple that we understand our Kingdom potential…You see…it’s limitless!

Our potential or limitations are based on our focus. What has your attention? Is it the Glory of God, His Kingdom, and desires? Does your heart break for what breaks His? Do you chase hard after Him and is His will your passion? Do you desire to bless Him above all else…including yourself? Hmmm…maybe you’re not there yet. Your priority may be to satisfy your own selfish ambitions, desiring only what makes you feel good and brings temporary gratification. Are you holding on tightly to the precious commodity of time as if it belonged to you? That would be a sad existence with no eternal purpose!

God’s plans for you are great! It may not be the life you planned or thought would bring you pleasure, but it’s the only place of true freedom, peace, joy, and fulfillment! You were created with one purpose! Don’t squander the beautiful gift you’ve been given!

You may wonder how you’ll ever discover your distinct destiny…it won’t be revealed in front of the television or scrolling through social media…it will be discovered in the pages of His Word and the Secret Place of His Presence! Change your focus, look intently into His eyes of love, and get close enough to hear the whispers of His Spirit! This takes time, discipline, and devotion but it must become your priority and passion!! Your life will not begin until you stop living for yourself and start living for Jesus! I guess you could figuratively say, you won't live until you die!

Matthew 16:24-24 (KJV) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Romans 8:12-13 (TPT) So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. For when you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste his abundant life.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 5:24 (NKJV) And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Ephesians 2:22 (KJV) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
