Unplugged

Hello family! It's good to be back! Though I must say, unplugging for a week was quite a blessing. We went on a family cruise, and it was so wonderful to spend time with all the kids and grandchildren. God is good to give us just what we need at just the right time!

Though we unplug from social media, cell phones and obligations, there's a source that we must always remain connected to. It's easy when we are busy doing wonderful things with our family to become so preoccupied that we feel the Lord will understand if we unplug from Him forjust a few days... that's dangerous ground to tread on. You see, the enemy comes like a roaring lion ready to pounce when we do not remain fortified in God's Word and hidden in the Secret Place.

No matter where you are or how busy you get, never fall for the trap of gradual desensitization to His presence and Word. This is just a reminder today... He must remain our priority no matter what is going on around us! It can be blessings or trials and pain that bids for our attention. Let's face it, we are surrounded by constant distractions and diversions. It comes down to priorities and discipline! Best intentions are not enough. Though He knows your heart, it's your actions that take precedence. Never forget to spend time learning about Him and His will, listening to His voice and praising Him with all your heart! He's so worthy!

So, even as we unplug, we must always be prepared to share the Gospel and Love of God, worship, pray and study. If you're not actively surrendering, obeying, and moving forward you are backsliding and that's never an option!

Have you worshipped God today, given Him your highest praise? Have you studied His Word and allowed it to penetrate your heart? Are you fully surrendered to His will and obeying His every desire? Maybe you say you don't know what He's saying to you... that just means you need to get a little closer... the day is young... there's still time!

1 Samuel 15:22 (AMP) Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed [is better] than the fat of rams."

James 2:19-20 (NKJV) You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
