Touching the Heart of God
Genesis 5:21-24 (NKJV) Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
As I’m reading these scriptures tonight, I’m once again stirred to the deepest parts of my soul... this is my desire... not so much that I’d suddenly disappear, but that I would touch God’s heart in such a way that He would desire for me to immediately be in Heaven with Him, just as He did Enoch. I’m so desperate to know the secret of this relationship. There’s been so many mighty men and women of God that I know must have touched His heart, but... there were only 2 men that we know of, in the history of the world, that God desired in such a way. Both Elijah and Enoch walked with God then disappeared into glory, defying death, bypassing all natural laws.
Tears are flowing as I write...the thought of mere men moving the heart of God in such a way... these scriptures reveal to us the possibilities of such depths of love, faithfulness, obedience, worship and passion. What could these men have done? How much could they have surrendered and how passionate and uninhibited must their worship have been? I understand we are saved by grace, I know that God is not a respecter of persons... yet... there was something that set these men apart. If we could just seek God, surrender all, obey without reservation and worship Him as they did, well, the possibilities are endless...
How deep can man go? There’s been those on the earth who have gone where no man has gone before, yet spiritual pursuits are often ignored. There’s nothing, absolutely nothing more important or rewarding than exploring the deepest depths of His heart, love, power and presence! I for one am no longer satisfied scratching the surface of His glory! I must go deeper, the hunger overwhelms me, the desperation brings an aching in my bones.
Join me in this journey of diving in, getting completely submerged and lost in His glory! Cut the ties with this world, nothing is worth keeping us from where He desires to take us. Study His Word and fall into His arms in full surrender. It's time to begin the greatest adventure of your life! Let’s go where few have gone before!
2 Kings 2:11 (NLT) As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a chariot of fire appeared, drawn by horses of fire. It drove between the two men, separating them, and Elijah was carried by a whirlwind into heaven.

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you.
