Refocus
Unfortunately, Christians are way too impressed with the enemy's power. They live their lives manipulated by his lies. The slightest tactic from him sends them cowering in fear and they dare not stand up against him lest they rouse him to a relentless attack against them. The saddest part of this is that they unconsciously believe he is more powerful than the God they serve. Honestly, I often hear the name of Satan lifted up above God's. As you ask them how they are doing you begin to hear the long list of attacks they are currently experiencing with no praise given to God for His wonderful blessings and goodness and no faith in His power to deliver.Â
Don't get me wrong, we need to let others know when we are suffering so we can pray for one another, but as long as the focus remains on the negative parts of your life, you'll slowly spiral down a very dark chasm of depression and despair. When you get to that place, all faith is gone, and you can no longer see past your current circumstance. The Bible talks about a sacrifice of praise. That means we must praise Him even when our flesh doesn't feel like it. As you do you will bring the power of God into your situation and refocus your thoughts and attention onto His magnificent power and might. Satan is a created being, a fallen angel whose power does not come close to comparing to that of Jesus!Â
Begin to worship and focus on the one who loves you and has the power and desire to set you free from your current problem. Even if the mess you are in is your fault you can repent, pray, and trust that He loves you enough to deliver you! TRUST HIM! HE IS ALL POWERFUL AND FULL OF MERCY AND GRACE!!!
Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV) Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Isaiah 26:4 (KJV)Â Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)Â Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Luke 10:19 (KJV)Â Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
James 4:7 (KJV)Â Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Matthew 19:26 (KJV)Â Â But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
