Purge Us Jesus!

It's time to grow up! Though we should pray for our own needs, that can no longer be the primary purpose for our prayer life and relationship with Jesus! Self-righteousness, pride and selfishness has gone on in the church for far too long. Pastors have to spend most of their time babysitting and coddling those who should be mature Christians, yet instead of growing in the Word, they prefer to be spoon and bottle fed. It's time to stop wasting time worrying about our feelings and talking about how mistreated we've been and begin to take up the cross and follow Christ, WHEREVER HE LEADS! The path isn't always easy and it's never the one of least resistance, yet God leads us in the way of maximum growth and productivity.

There's a world out there that's suffering and dying without Jesus. They are tormented by their own sin and self-medicating just to survive another day. Where will they find answers if we're not prepared to share the hope we have in Christ? The enemy knows the power that comes from a fully surrendered life, that's no longer distracted by their "needs and desires" but fully focused on God, bathed in the Word and prepared for battle! No longer intimidated by the lies of the enemy, but they know their position in the Kingdom and they will stand their ground to defend it! They stand on God's Word, even when it's not popular or politically correct, no matter what others may think! They are bold and fearless warriors, marching foreword in unity, not breaking rank and no longer jealous of their brothers and sisters. Not judging and gossiping about them but encouraging and praying for their weaknesses and failures.

We must become what the body of Christ was intended to be! Strong, courageous, passionately loving and seeking to please our Savior, full of faith, thankful and praising in all circumstances, completely devoted, and surrendered to His will! We must be filled with God's power and love and that only comes from humility, repentance, quality time in the Secret Place and in His Word. HE MUST BE FIRST!!

Pride brings turmoil, finger pointing, judgment and blame. God's presence brings peace, humility, love, patience, forgiveness, power, strength and joy.

I can't do life without Jesus and I must do it His way! I may not always get it right, but I certainly know the difference. The fruit is always obvious. It's either fresh and brings life or rotten to the core and brings depression, anxiety and destruction. I seek to please Him above all else!

Purge us Jesus! Make us vessels that change the world for your glory and bring honor to your name!!

Ephesians 5:13-17 (NKJV) But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Hebrews 5:12-14 (TPT) For you should already be professors instructing others by now; but instead, you need to be taught from the beginning the basics of God’s prophetic oracles! You’re like children still needing milk and not yet ready to digest solid food. For every spiritual infant who lives on milk is not yet pierced by the revelation of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, whose spiritual senses perceive heavenly matters. And they have been adequately trained by what they’ve experienced to emerge = with understanding of the difference between what is truly excellent and what is evil and harmful.

2 Timothy 2:19-22 (NKJV) Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Joel 2:7-8 (NKJV) They run like mighty men, they climb the wall like men of war; Everyone marches in formation, and they do not break ranks. They do not push one another; Everyone marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, they are not cut down.
