Perspective
There's so many ways we can look at our trials. If our eyes remain on them, they can become distorted and enlarged. A disappointment, mixed with the enemy's viewpoint and ideas will make the current situation seem hopeless. If left unchecked it will soon make us feel unloved and forgotten by God. The reason I know this is because there was a day that I was ruled by my emotions and circumstances controlled my demeanor, and depression always followed!
An intimate relationship with Jesus changes our focus. As we are going through a trial of our own right now, we are filled with excitement and anticipation of what the Lord is about to do!! It's crazy, at our age, though we are completely qualified in the fields we've worked in for over 30 years, we can't find work. We've both sent out multiple applications, yet... nothing...I smile as I write this... you see, our prayer is that the Lord closes the doors that are to be closed and opens those that are to be opened. He's so faithful to do that. Yes, we've applied for multiple jobs, but He has only 1 solution to our situation and that's the one we are waiting for and no power in hell can slam it shut! It may be a job or a financial miracle, regardless it's in His hands and His perfect timing! Intimacy and the knowledge of His heart through the Word has instilled incredible trust within us! He's never let us down when we operated in faith and worshipped Him within the trial. He's an incredibly good God and being in the tithe covenant with Him has always insured that HE WOULD PROVIDE!! I have no reason to doubt that this current situation is any different!
Perspective... how are you seeing your trial? Does it feel like all hell is breaking loose and the Lord has forgotten you? What if this is the launching pad for your greatest testimony and changes your life and that of those you share your story with forever!?!
However painful this season may be, embrace it as you walk it out with Christ. Seek, trust and follow Him, step by step into your promised land! Though all hell may break out around us, He will still take care of those that put Him first and remain hidden in Christ.
As a writer who enjoys showing off the greatness of God...I can't wait to share this next testimony with all of you! We'd also love to hear what God is doing in your lives. I pray that each of you gets a greater glimpse of how much you are loved, wanted and necessary. Our God is an amazingly good Father who has a special plan for each of His children, but He's waiting for you to draw closer, hear His heart and move in the direction He's leading you. This will give you the perspective you need to do amazing things for His glory!
2 Peter 2:9-11 (TPT) If the Lord Yahweh rescued Lot, He knows how to continually rescue the godly from their trials and to reserve the ungodly for punishment on the day of judgment.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT) Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Psalm 91:1-7 (TPT) When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence. He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and He will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you.You can run under His covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm. You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you. Don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you, nor will the powers of evil launched against you. Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed.
Matthew 9:29 (NLT) Then He touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”
