Be the Light
1 John 1:6 (AMP) If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth.
Are you walking in the light of God's word or are you stumbling around in the dark lies of the enemy? The scriptures are life-breathing words meant for us to take in and pour out into those around us. We cannot be effective in blessing others if we are walking around in sin and not practicing the truth of God's living word. We were not created to just exist, we were created with a divine purpose to be used by God, for His glory to enhance His kingdom.
To practice the truth would mean saying no to the world. To practice the truth would be listening to the still small voice inside that is telling us right from wrong. People all around the earth have been thoroughly confused by the lies of the enemy, you have the choice to be a voice of Truth for them!
Allow the light in you to shine in the darkness around the world. Love others the way Christ loves you, show a lifestyle of grace and love to those who feel unworthy to be loved. Worship God with your whole heart, let everything you do be a reflection of the one who Created you. After all, you are made in the image of God. All you do will be counted for when you stand before Him, it's never too late to recommit your ways to Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always in a position to receive you, no matter how messy it may seem, He makes beautiful things out of your brokenness. Allow Him to fill in those areas of loss and grief with His amazing love. Worshiping Him is a way of life, not a Sunday ritual. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. Are you ready?
1 John 3:18 (VOICE) My little children, don’t just talk about love as an idea or a theory. Make it your true way of life, and live in the pattern of gracious love.
John 24:23-24 (MSG) “It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”
