Get Ready! It's a New Season!

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

Well, here we are, the end of the infamous year 2020! The year that we each began to see and live life in a different way. It’s been a bazaar one to say the least. As I’m ending it, reflecting on what we’ve gone through as a nation and the current uncertainty for the future...I find myself asking God for greater change on the inside. I don’t want to think, feel or act the way I always have. I don’t want to rely on my knowledge or past experiences. I feel a stirring for something different and new...

For me, on top of the riots, racial unrest and division, political chaos and Covid...I have experienced more change in this year than ever before. I lived in one area for 56 years until November 1st, 2020, when I moved to another state. I left my son and his family, we’ve always lived very close together. I left good friends and the church that our son and daughter in law pastor. We so love that church family! I left a job of 35 years that I also loved and started a new one... that’s not easy when you dislike change in general and you thrive on routine. Let’s face it... our comfort zone can also be called a rut! God wants to strategically place His children where they can be most effective for His kingdom. Some of you are already there and some are currently feeling the pressure of change as we did. Covid and many of the other issues of 2020 has forced people out of their box of security and created a new “normal”. For many the changes have been painful or at the very least extremely uncomfortable.

In the midst of all of this uncertainty and even the darkness that is spreading and fighting for our attention... it’s what’s going on in the inside that matters. We need our eyes to be wide open to God’s plans and desires for our lives and the world. You see... darkness, injustice and deprivation makes the perfect backdrop for revival and His glory to be revealed. Suicide, depression, loneliness and anxiety are at an all time high. The world is searching for answers, answers that we have and must share! It’s time for the tide to change. It’s already changing in our lives in so many ways. Now it’s time for the tide of the tyranny of evil to be subdued and defeated! We must allow the Holy Spirit to change our way of thinking. What worked in the past may not work today. God’s doing a new thing and we must remain flexible to where He’s calling us and how He’s planning on using us. Don’t remain stuck in the past. Pray and seek His will, then simply follow His lead with no ulterior motives or preconceived ideas. Just be fully yielded to the Spirit! Purify your mind in the Word, He is about to blow it away with His plans for your life if you’ll put them above your own!

Yes! He’s doing a new thing and I don’t want to miss it! In this new season we will need to be stronger, have more faith, be filled with His Spirit, bolder and anointed to accomplish whatever He calls us to do and we must know our authority to defeat the enemy on every level! Get ready! It’s a new season!!!

Luke 1:78-79 (TPT) The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise is about to break upon us in holy visitation, all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender. The word from heaven will come to us with dazzling light to shine upon those who live in darkness, near death’s dark shadow. And He will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Romans 12:2 (ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Acts 2:17-21 (TPT) ‘This is what I will do in the last days—I will pour out my Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God.The Holy Spirit will come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. I will reveal startling signs and wonders in the sky above and mighty miracles on the earth below. Blood and fire and pillars of clouds will appear.
