Divine Download

A while back the Lord woke me up at 2:00 am with these words flooding my mind. I quickly began writing them down. It wasn't until I got up later that morning that I read what I wrote. I love those divine downloads!

Many have gone through horrifically painful situations. The loss of children, abuse (either past or present), shame, heartache, rejection, disease... there's countless different situations that have left you bitter, depressed and maybe even angry. Today I want to shine a light in those dark crevices of your soul. Those places that the enemy has captured and controlled. As you see the glimpse of the light...a glimpse of His presence... go towards it... He said as you'll draw closer to Him, He'll draw closer to you. Who must make the first move? If you want a more fulfilling relationship with Jesus and healing from your pain, begin to move in His direction. Begin to read your Bible, spend time sharing your pain, repent of your bitterness and let Him know you can't make it without Him.

Make a commitment today to take baby steps towards Him. As you do, His steps are not equal to yours. Though your efforts may be small and seemingly insignificant, His are magnificent and powerful! He runs toward those who are actively and purposefully moving in His direction. You'll soon walk out of the flashlight level of glory into a glorious, blinding and completely overwhelming Son brightened place, filled with His peace, purpose, healing, strength and love.

Maybe tonight you're saying you've tried that, and it hasn't worked for you... you haven't gone deep enough. Your focus must change from you and your problems to Him and His beauty and love. The Word speaks of getting under His feathers as He shelters you with His wings.

Psalm 91:4 (NLT) He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

That's a place of completely being hidden in Him. Where we snuggle up deep into His presence, completely sheltered and protected from the attacks of the enemy. That doesn't mean the rain won't fall and the storm won't rage, but the effects of it will no longer devastate you because you are secure in His love and confident that He is in control and wants the best for you!

If you get under His wing with your head peeking out, you still have not yet gone deep enough. Your focus is still on the circumstances... well, the truth is... we can always go deeper and that's the direction we must always be moving in. He has a marvelous plan for your life and it includes every broken piece, but it will only be revealed in the place of total surrender and trust in Jesus!

Begin to take daily steps in His direction... His arms are open wide and He's fully prepared to captivate your soul and completely enthrall you with His love. He'll take you to places of healing, deliverance, and pure ecstasy that you never realized existed. There's a place in Him that is unlike anything you've ever experienced in this life. It's filled with warmth, healing, light, freedom, joy, peace and most of all, pure love and acceptance. You'll find everything you need and have been searching for as you crawl under His wings and cuddle up near His heart.

James 4:7-10 (MSG) So let God work His will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and He’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.

James 4:8 (NLT) Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
