Complete Trust

So, here we are... I'm in Florida and my husband is in St. Louis. As most of you know, the plan was for him to move here on the 20th and begin his new, remote dream job. I had stepped out in faith and quit my job of over 35 years and he planned to retire from Boeing, move here, and start working for this new company.

Thursday afternoon he gets a call from his new boss who let him know that due to a series of mishaps, they lost the government contract. He was terminated before the job began...

We, just like many of you who are going through difficulties, had a choice to make... get upset and wallow in self pity or REJOICE! You see, when you KNOW your God and you realize how great He is and just how much He loves you, you understand that this stepping stone is another opportunity for an incredible testimony or in my case...a devotion!:)

Our current circumstances do not dictate our future or the peace and joy that's within our souls! We have as much of both today as we did last week, when we thought he had the job! Would I prefer the more direct route to our destiny? I'm human! Of course I would! But if I always got my own way immediately, I would never have a testimony of what we've been through and what God has done! Stay tuned, that is coming soon!!

Begin to see your problems as adventures. I know that's a strange thing to say, but if you would realize that, if you'll let it, the most difficult seasons in your life are the very thing that will bring you closer to Jesus and give you a new realization of His power and love... What is it they say? No test, no testimony. It may sound cliché, but it's absolute truth!

Praise Jesus in the storm, worship Him in the darkest moments and watch the darkness disperse as His light shines and breathes life into what you once thought was dead and gone. There's purpose for your problem. Even if it's brought on by a direct hit from the enemy, when it's given to God by faith, He will turn it around and use your testimony for His glory! The enemy is no match for a surrendered vessel who fully trusts in their God! He loves you and desires to take incredible care of His precious child! Give it to Him, don't doubt, rejoice, worship and watch what He will do!!

Stay tuned! The best is yet to come!!

Psalm 9:9-10 (TPT) All who are oppressed may come to you as a shelter in the time of trouble, a perfect hiding place. May everyone who knows your mercy keep putting their trust in you, for they can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you.

Romans 5:1-5 (TPT) Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and He now declares us flawless in His eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory! But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!
