A Reason to Worship

The more Jesus is revealed to us, the more we desire to worship Him. As we continually learn more about the One who saved us from death and destruction, our spirit will cry out, "Holy, Holy, Holy!" It's a natural response to having a deeper revelation of who He is and what He accomplished on the cross.

Philippians 2:6-7, 9-11 (NLT) Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Name above all other names - that doesn't mean His name is just above our own names, but His name is above the name of cancer, poverty, disease, brokenness, even death! We can learn about Jesus and study His life all day long, but having information only makes us think, having a true revelation of Him will cause us to worship!

Ephesians 2:14-15 (TPT) Our reconciling “Peace” is Jesus! He has made Jew and non-Jew one in Christ. By dying as our sacrifice, he has broken down every wall of prejudice that separated us and has now made us equal through our union with Christ. Ethnic hatred has been dissolved by the crucifixion of his precious body on the cross. The legal code that stood condemning every one of us has now been repealed by his command. His triune essence has made peace between us by starting over—forming one new race of humanity, Jews and non-Jews fused together!

The work of the cross conquered sin, death and darkness. The enemy has thoroughly been defeated! The more we understand this and have revelations on the power and authority that was given to us by Jesus through the Holy Spirit, the more we can't help but worship Him! Because it means for us, no matter what is coming against us, as we serve God with all that we are, we will succeed and the enemy can't stop us! We have been crucified WITH Christ so it is no longer us living for the old man we used to be, Christ is living through us by the Holy Spirit living inside of us and we are co-heirs with Him… that means Jesus is treating us as equals to Him even though He is God and we are His creation - we are equal with Christ - sharing in His sweet victory! This is a great reason to worship!

Romans 8:17 (AMP) And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.
