By His Spirit & For His Glory

As I’m spending time with the Lord this evening, I begin to discuss with Him how the world needs a to see a people who are fully surrendered and yielded to Him. A people who are not out to fulfill their own desires or build their own platform but humble servants who bow before Him and give Him all the glory! I began to think about that. There was a time that I would compare my gifts, teaching style, and personality to those that were much more charismatic in their delivery. Oh, If only I were more like them, then I could be used powerfully for His Kingdom! But who would want to listen to me? Why would God choose to use someone like me?

What I've learned over the years is that He prefers to use those that are completely unqualified and hardly noticed, those whose anointing upon their life points others to Jesus. A person who is so filled with His Spirit, consumed by His Love, and has crucified their flesh until all that is seen and experienced is HIM!!

You, as I once was, might have been sold the lie from the pit of hell that has convinced you that you are not enough! Well, that's not entirely wrong, me and you without the Spirit of God operating within us are not enough. But when you realize you are the habitation of the Holy Spirit and the temple He occupies, you realize nothing is impossible and you certainly cannot take any of the credit. We are just the vessel that He chooses to work through if we allow Him.

Shy? Scared? Unqualified and feeling undeserving and unable? Great! Now move out of the way and allow Him to do what He does best! He uses our weak vessels to reveal His glory, power, and love in miraculous ways so no one will ever think we had anything to do with it! ALL BY HIS SPIRIT AND FOR HIS GLORY!!

Zechariah 4:6 (KJV) Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, “This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ saith the Lord of hosts.

James 4:6 (KJV) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Proverbs 15:33 (NLT) Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.

Ephesians 2:22 (KJV) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (KJV)  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV) What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?
