A Reflection of His Glory

Do you ever feel discontent for no particular reason? There are seasons in our lives when God is calling us up higher. It doesn't matter how spiritual you may think you are, there's always deeper depths of His presence to explore and more flesh to shed in order to get there. When God is drawing us closer, He sometimes allows circumstances to make us uncomfortable or just a spiritual dissatisfaction with no particular natural reason.

God loves us enough to not allow us to remain stagnant, we can no longer be content in shallow waters... there are deep and unimaginable caverns of His beauty, power and love that call out to us. I'm so hungry for more and though I'm content in my relationship with Jesus, I realize that it's not just about getting my peace, feeling His love and resting in His presence. There's a world out there that is searching for truth, not just what's taught, but also experienced. They need the life changing glory of God to be revealed to them and it will only flow from a yielded vessel that has spent time in His presence.

Salvation is free, but the glory will cost us something. Less of our flesh and more of His Spirit! Surrender to the purging process that removes the impurities and replaces them with His life changing presence and anointing. When Moses experienced it, his face reflected God's glory. When the Apostles spent time seeking Him, they were Baptized in the Spirit and it overflowed to meet the needs of the lost and it led them to Christ. The Spirit of God was so strong upon Peter that even his shadow was infused with the power to heal the sick! There's so much more of God that we've never experienced, but it's attainable if we'll surrender our lives to Him and commit to go deeper!

John 3:30 (ESV) He must increase, but I must decrease.

Exodus 34:29 (NLT) When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord.

Acts 5:12-16 (NKJV) And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
