The Word Became Flesh

John 1:1-5 (NKJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Jesus was and is the Word, ever since the beginning. The scriptures are life for us! It's like water to those who are literally dying of dehydration. It's food to those who are starving. It's breath to those who can barely breathe because of heartache and pain. The Word is what brings life to our spirit. It will bring dead things to life. In the valley of dry bones God told Ezekiel to prophesy over the dead, dry bones and they came to life, they formed together, skin covered them then he prophesied breath in them and they became a great army! All over the spoken word!

I ask you today, what are you speaking over your life? Are there any dormant dreams or visions God has put in your heart that need resurrected? It is so important to pay attention to the words you speak every day. You may have little sayings that you have said for years and you don't think much of it but it will have an affect on you. Something as silly as saying, "that just burns me up!" can change your temperament and mood. Becoming easily frustrated over simple things is definitely what the enemy would love for all of us, to have no joy or peace but live in a state of anger and frustration. Take note of the things you say and pray about a new phrase to speak over your life. The power of life and death resides in your tongue!

Ezekiel 37:10 (NKJV) So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.
