The Path to True Fulfillment

I've been thinking about all of the things I'm Thankful for. There's such a long list, but there's one thing that really amazes me... it's the goodness of God. His involvement in our lives is so incredible to me. When you spend your time actively pursuing Him... desiring His will above your own, you're life becomes an adventure. You begin to realize that there's purpose to everything we go through. Even when the enemy brings on an attack that's meant to destroy us, God can transform it into new opportunities for growth and empathy.

There's a scripture that says, what is man that you are mindful of him? Who are we? What does He find so attractive about us that He would desire our attention and love? The Creator of the universe desires me? Desires you? Our lives were never intended to be lived for our own pleasure, yet as we give it to Jesus and pursue a relationship with Him...a deeply intimate relationship...He freely lavishes His love, attention and blessings upon us.

For me, there's no greater blessing than knowing Him and being known by Him. The relationship and fellowship I have with my Father, Savior and Holy Spirit can not be compared by anything in this life. People waste so much time seeking after things that will never satisfy. I admit, I like pretty things and fast cars, but they have no power to give me peace or joy and my happiness is not based on what I have or who I know. ONLY JESUS!

Don't waste another moment striving for more or the next fix that brings temporary satisfaction to your flesh yet leaves you empty and wanting more. It's a trap that will never fulfill you and leads you into a pit of depression and anxiety. There's only one path to true fulfillment and that is in the center of God's will. How do you find out what that is? Read your Bible as you seek to know Him and prioritize time to speak to Him, bask in His presence and hear His voice. His desires will soon become evident! Then just follow His lead, one step at a time.

Galatians 5:16-18 (TPT) Let me emphasize this: As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life.When your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit you hinder him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your self-life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self-life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit. But when you yield to the life of the Spirit, you will no longer be living under the law,but soaring above it!

Psalm 8:4-7 (NKJV) What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Matthew 6:31-33 (NKJV) “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
