Trusting Him in Your Calling

Here I am, sitting in God's presence, preparing to write a devotion and as always, I start out with my flesh wondering, how in the world this is going to happen. I don't know how to write and it certainly does not come naturally for me. I feel a sense of responsibility to the groups, but more importantly, I know that's what I'm called to do, so hiding behind insecurity is not an option. The interesting thing is... I've been doing this for 4 years. In the beginning I was writing them 7 days a week, yet I've never once felt qualified. Though that's certainly not the most comfortable way to do ministry, it is crucial to have total dependence on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us.

Why am I sharing this with you? God has a plan for your life and chances are, you're like me, you feel that what He's put on your heart is way beyond your ability and your completely unqualified for the task. When God led me to write my book, I remember telling Him that He must have the wrong person...I can't do it! He reminded me that He didn't want ME to do it, He just needed me to yield myself to Him, so He could do it through me. That's what I did, I bathed it in prayer, showed up and allowed His Spirit to write through me. I liken it to taking dictation, it was amazing and I'm so glad I didn't allow my insecurity to steal the privilege of doing His will and being a conduit of His talents and abilities.

Being used by God is like anything else in life, it comes down to one thing, letting go of the reigns and trusting Him with the results as we simply give Him control and follow His lead.

I pray this message stirs up the gifts that God has placed within you. The working of His power that desires to manifest through you. Time is short, don't waste another day listening to the lies of the enemy. YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU!

Philippians 4:13 (NKJ) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Galatians 5:25 (NLT) Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (NLT) When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
