Stressed, Depressed, Fearful & Anxious

In today's stressful, busy and fast paced life style, there are so many things to get anxious about. If someone else doesn't place high expectations upon us, we will. There's so much we try to fit into a day. Often the one thing that was designed to fulfill us and give us the strength, to not only endure, but succeed is ignored...

Most of us feel an innate responsibility to fix ourselves. If we are depressed and stressed out, we emphasize the effects by placing pressure on ourselves to get it together. The first step to freedom is admitting we have a problem and we are helpless to change it. We must then take it to the cross, lay it down and surrender our entire lives to Christ. That means giving up control, and though you may not be sure of what that means, you can bank on the fact that it will be much better than your current situation.

A life controlled by self never brings the results we desire. We end up spinning out of control, repeating the same mistakes over and over, wondering why the results never change. When we are fully surrendered, there's only one road to our destiny. Though we still experience pain and disappointment, we realize it's all a part of a bigger picture and we place complete trust in God with the outcome. Each day can be faced fearlessly and with peace, regardless of the current situation, if we'll put our trust in Jesus.

Stressed out, depressed, fearful and anxious... fall at Christ's feet in total surrender. Peace, strength and freedom have been provided for you, but it cannot be controlled or manipulated. Cry out to God, take His hand and ask the Holy Spirit to comfort and give you the strength you need to come out of the darkness into His marvelous light!

1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Isaiah 12:1-2 (NLT) In that day you will sing: “I will praise you, O Lord! You were angry with me, but not any more. Now you comfort me. See, God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.”

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Psalm 27:1-5 (NKJV) The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell.Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
