Your First Love

As the world screams for our attention there's a quiet voice that bids us to come unto Him. Sometimes it can seem to come from a long distance away and though we desire time with Jesus, it just doesn't seem possible to apprehend His attention and favor. Maybe you feel forgotten or insignificant, so you no longer make the effort to seek Him because you feel it's a waste of time. Perhaps you've allowed people, stress, problems, cell phones, social media, television, etc...to distract you and occupy your time and attention. You may finally stop to pray, but your time with God is interrupted by a phone call, text message or your wandering mind...do you realize that the creator of the universe desires your presence? He really does want to be with YOU! He has gifts to give, love to share, healing for your heart and guidance for your life.

You have the opportunity for an audience with the King of kings and Lord of lords. Don't take it lightly or waste that precious time with things that have no bearing on your life, future or eternity. There's nothing more important than time spent with HIM! Don't allow your insecurities or the diversions of this life to continually distract you from your first love. You will not be fulfilled until He becomes first in every area of your life. He loves you and desires intimate time with YOU! He's calling and He's waiting.

Song of Solomon 2:10 (NKJV) My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Matthew 15:8 (NLT) These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

Revelation 2:4 (NKJV) Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Matthew 22:37 (NLT) Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’

John 15:5 (NKJV) “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."
