God is Singing Over Me!

Zephaniah 3:17 (TLB) For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; he will love you and not accuse you.” Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord himself exulting over you in happy song.

He will love you and not accuse you - yes, this is the God we serve! He is elated when He thinks about us and He sings over us. He desires only the best for His children and has amazing plans ahead for all of us. All of the negative thoughts that play in our mind come from the enemy - who only knows how to lie, twist and distort the scriptures. God has been thinking about us before He even created the world. Just as many newlyweds today think about the children they will have in the future, God thought about us and He knew us before we were born.

Rather than being an accuser, God shows us the path of righteousness. He is fully aware of our mistakes but He will not throw guilt upon us, He draws us near to Him so we only desire to do what is right. Rejoice in all God has done for you and know that He is not mad at you but He is singing over you!

John 8:44 (TLB) For you are the children of your father the devil and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning and a hater of truth—there is not an iota of truth in him. When he lies, it is perfectly normal; for he is the father of liars.

Ephesians 1:4-5 (TLB) Long ago, even before he made the world, God chose us to be his very own through what Christ would do for us; he decided then to make us holy in his eyes, without a single fault—we who stand before him covered with his love. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And he did this because he wanted to!
