One Nation Under God

Ezekiel 22:23-31 (NLT) Again a message came to me from the Lord: “Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: In the day of my indignation, you will be like a polluted land, a land without rain. Your princes plot conspiracies just as lions stalk their prey. They devour innocent people, seizing treasures and extorting wealth. They make many widows in the land. Your priests have violated my instructions and defiled my holy things. They make no distinction between what is holy and what is not. And they do not teach my people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean. They disregard my Sabbath days so that I am dishonored among them. Your leaders are like wolves who tear apart their victims. They actually destroy people’s lives for money! And your prophets cover up for them by announcing false visions and making lying predictions. They say, ‘My message is from the Sovereign Lord,’ when the Lord hasn’t spoken a single word to them. Even common people oppress the poor, rob the needy, and deprive foreigners of justice. “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one. So now I will pour out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my anger. I will heap on their heads the full penalty for all their sins. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

Sound familiar? Just as it was in those days, God is searching for those that will stand in the gap for our nation. It’s so easy to criticize what we see is wrong and every injustice…yet…have your concerns been taken to the cross? Have you prayed, fasted, wept and decreed over our country and its future? Have you interceded for those in leadership and for God’s hand to move on behalf of America? Have you pleaded for the cause of the church and the future of our faith?

You may have wondered what you can possibly do to bring about change when the darkness is trying to cover our land and negativity surrounds us as hope is growing dim…Well! We do have hope in Jesus and He is alive and still on the throne! His power far exceeds that of the enemy who is bent on destroying our “One Nation Under God!”

This isn’t a political devotion, but it is a spiritual one! It’s a call to fight for what’s left of our Christian rights and take our position against the devil that’s forcefully trying to dictate our future as Christians! As more freedom is surrendered, our rights to speak boldly about our faith and assemble together will soon follow! Even many pastors have so watered down God’s Word that it has become unrecognizable! God’s grace has been perverted into a free pass to sin!

Let’s draw a spiritual line in the sand and say no more! The world needs to see the power of God manifested through His children who have surrendered ALL to follow Him! Those that have so sold out to Jesus that His Spirit has fully possessed them! The world needs to see the miraculous at work through us! They are hungry and searching! They have been left disillusioned and in want, when they should have been given the true gospel that has the power to transform their lives!!!

Don’t be complacent or waste time with worry and complaining. Put on your armor and fearlessly fight this battle with His Word and on your knees! You’ll find that you’ll emerge strong and courageous, full of faith and equipped to be a representation of Christ in the earth! Then they will once again say, “They truly are ONE NATION UNDER GOD!”

(For those of reading this from other countries, this applies to you too! Fight for the territory the Lord has placed on your heart! This world must be won for Christ!)

Ephesians 6:12-18 (NLT) For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
