Infused with Strength

Philippians 4:11-13 (AMP) I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need. I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

To be infused with something means to be soaked, filled, charged, marinated or immersed. We have been filled with Christ's strength and it has permeated throughout us for the sake of His purpose. We are soaked in the peace of Christ and have the ability to go about each day with confidence knowing that He will meet our every need. No matter what our circumstances may be this very day, whether we have more than enough or not enough, we have all we need in Him. We can be content no matter where we are in the world. Paul wrote this letter while he was in prison, a place that we could say he had a perfect opportunity to complain and with great reason. Yet, he remained content knowing that his circumstances did not change who he was in Christ! He was able to see beyond "today" and was able to rejoice. Through living he could glorify Christ and by dying he would be with Christ so what difference does it make what our circumstances are? Living a life of contentment is a much better way to live rather than one full of stress, fear, doubt and insecurity. Know who you are in Christ and be joyful no matter what schemes the enemy is putting before you. Rejoice and be glad in Him!

Philippians 1:21 (AMP) For to me, to live is Christ [He is my source of joy, my reason to live] and to die is gain [for I will be with Him in eternity].
