He's All You Need!
Is Jesus everything to you? Is He the source of your fulfillment, peace and joy? If He isn’t then you haven’t experienced what it means to truly be free!
I’ll be honest with you, I like to play and I enjoy my toys. I’m loving Florida and in the summer I could spend most of my time in the water. This is where I always wanted to live and feel so blessed to be here. That being said, all of the enjoyment in the world could never satisfy me. I’ve tried life without Jesus and I’m only fulfilled and at peace as I remain close to Him!
Life has a way of hardening us in many areas. It forms our thought processes and perceptions. As we begin to wash our minds with God’s Word and spend time in His presence, our hearts begin to tenderize. As we draw closer to Jesus, the chains that once controlled our thinking, emotions and actions are broken and we begin to see things through the eyes of the Spirit instead the obscurities of the flesh.
As humans, so much of our time is spent meeting our own needs and doing what we feel will make us happy. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying life, as long as you realize that the true source of your joy and fulfillment is JESUS! That’s it! It’s not more money, relationships, toys, sin, drugs or changed circumstances. I have the best marriage in the world, yet I spent years in misery when Christ wasn’t my priority. I put pressure on my husband to fulfill me and man just isn’t equipped for that. As my focus changed from my earthly husband to my spiritual Bride Groom, everything changed and I was free to enjoy my marriage instead looking to it for my fulfillment. All pressure is off!
So much time is wasted searching for answers in all of the wrong places. Use that energy to pray, worship and read your Bible. As you do, your life, heart and circumstances will change. He desires to bless His children, but what He wants more is YOU! Seek and worship Him above else! Once you get to know Him, really know Him and become enveloped in His love, He’ll become all you need and all you want!!
Matthew 6:33 (TPT) “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.
Psalm 73:23-26 (TPT) I was so stupid. I was senseless and ignorant, acting like a brute beast before you, Lord. Yet, in spite of all this, I still belong to you; you hold me by my right hand. You lead me with your secret wisdom. And following you brings me into your brightness and glory! Whom have I in heaven but you? You’re all I want! No one on earth means as much to me as you. Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me. Forever you’re all I need!
Ephesians 5:26 (NKJV) That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word.
