Disappointment | The Best is Yet to Come!
Galatians 5:25 (TPT) If the Spirit is the source of our life, we must also allow the Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives.
Most of you know our story. We were miraculously moved to Florida, and it was confirmed in an incredible way. (As I was crying out to God and asking Him if moving there was His will, while I was packing my books, one that I hadn't opened in over 10 years had a paper holding a page... as I opened it, on the top of the page it read," YOU'RE GOING TO FLORIDA!" That's just one of many confirmations:) God is so good in making His plans clear if we'll ask and listen. To seal the deal, my husband gets an incredible job offer. I quit my job of over 30 years and move here first to get the house ready while he finished up with his job at Boeing. He had no intent of retiring at that point.
As I was living here, and he was still in St. Louis, I get the call that the government contract for his new job was canceled... at our age we were faced with a new home and no income. Thank God we trust our Lord!
Our story is still unfolding, and we believe greater things are yet to come! As Rick has taken his retirement and we are both working part time jobs, we are completely content and overwhelmingly blessed!! If the path had not taken the course that it did, there would have been some who would not have been ministered to and chances are, they never would have come to salvation and the realization of God's love for them. So, the truth is...I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! I'll be honest with you, the attacks by the enemy have been a bit much since we got here, but let's not give him any glory! Every obstacle has brought us closer to Jesus and the joy within has sheltered us from the effects of the blows.
Life doesn't always look the way we think it should and our plans can be diverted but... the knowledge of the love of God and the undeniable faith in His mercy, sovereignty, and grace makes the battlefield a place of victory and celebration!! We are not moved by our circumstances and have complete faith that the Lord will complete what He's begun!
Yield to the Father's will and trust that He knows best. It's good to have plans and even desires, but you must hold them loosely and trust that He knows best! Keep Jesus first, seek Him and simply follow His lead... there are new adventures and battles to win ahead! Keep marching forward and continue accumulating victories and testimonies along the way! As you keep pushing forward, moving into His presence, and listening carefully to voice... your wisdom, peace and faith will increase. Trust Him! The best is yet to come!!!
Philippians 1:6 (TPT) I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Proverbs 23:18-19 (TPT) Your future is bright and filled with a living hope that will never fade away. As you listen to me, my beloved child, you will grow in wisdom and your heart will be drawn into understanding, which will empower you to make right decisions.
John 10:27 (TPT) My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me.
