Do You Trust Him?

Do you trust Him? What about when all hell is breaking loose and you feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you? Do you trust Him? When your dreams and plans come crashing to a halt...do you trust Him?

We say that our lives are not our own and we cry out to God, offering Him everything, but when His plan differs from our own...do we still believe that He has our best interests in mind and He's still in control?

Life as we once knew it has changed in so many ways. We've come to realize that the things we once depended upon are no longer stable or concrete. But there's a rock that never changes. No matter how things appear or how different they seem, Jesus is our stability and strength. The wind may blow away the things we've held on to, effectively separating us from our idols... but that's not a bad thing... life as usual can become a cage that holds us in a routine that has little need for a desperate and passionate relationship with our Savior. As these changes arise we find ourselves lost, if not for His stability and strength.

In the midst of the storm, find your peace in Jesus. Spend time simply adoring Him and you'll find that as your focus changes, so will your priorities, emotions and demeanor. Soon you'll find rest, new hope and transformed dreams that line up with His will for your life... just seek, worship and trust Him. His plans may not look anything like yours, but they are so much greater and the effects are eternal!

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."

Proverbs 3:5-8 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with Him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore Him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.

Psalm 9:10 (NKJV) And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
