Philippians 2:14-16 (NLT) Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
No complaining - okay, who just decided they would rather read something else today, ha! No arguing - can someone please inform my children of this scripture? Live clean - who else needs a housekeeper? Do you ever read the bible and allow your mind to wander off thinking of other things you need to get done? Well welcome to the club! The enemy has a plan to distract you from anything that will cause you to mature in Christ. Learning the ways of God and living them out is definitely a threat to the devil because you are a voice of salvation, a voice of healing, a voice of power and authority, a voice that exposes the darkness with light and brings hope to the hopeless. Any attacks you are facing now have a lot to do with who you will be in the future not with who you were in the past.
Do everything without complaining and arguing because you serve a God of miracles that desires to use you to help change the lives of those around you. Jesus wants what He paid for! A body of believers that trusts in and relies on Him for all of their needs. A body of believers that will preach the truth of His word unceasingly, with no desire to please people, rather, a desire to please God by doing good and loving those that others would turn away from. Jesus did not die on a cross for us to adhere to a list of religious rules, He came to fulfill the law and give grace. May we have a desire to do the same.
Matthew 5:17-20 (AMP) "Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished."
