Spiritually Handicap

John 14:26 (NKJV) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

How wonderful that we were given the precious Holy Spirit to walk this life with us. As we come across difficult situations or we minister to others, we have the assurance that He will bring scriptures to our remembrance as we need them. Our prayers are empowered by the Word of God. It's our defense and sword against the power of the enemy! What's written in the Bible cannot be changed. It's God's promise to His children and He cannot lie!

Without the Word we have nothing to stand upon. It's our immovable foundation that's solid and firm. Whatever we are faced with, there's a scripture that's written to use in our battle plan! Sickness, poverty, anger, rejection, fear, sin, anxiety, it's all in there, waiting to be apprehended and prayed out to the Father, as you stand in faith for His intervention. With faith in God and trust in His Word you will no longer be moved by negative circumstances, because you'll know that no matter how things look or feel and how long it takes, God is working it all out on your behalf.

Here's where the trouble lies... in order for a scripture to be brought to your remembrances, it must first be read, studied and learned. If it has never entered your mind and heart it cannot be brought back up when needed. The Word says that God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. As time in His Word is neglected, our growth is stunted. You can only grow in your knowledge of Christ to the degree that your willing to study your Bible. He has equipped and empowered you with so much, but until you open your spiritual manual and learn how to use the equipment your race car is reduced to a powerless carriage. You wonder why you are not being used by God and seeing victory in your life, but though you have access to limitless potential it has not been tapped into, so you're left spiritually handicap, relying on others to carry you, as you struggle through another day.

There's hope! Even if you've ignored God's Word in the past, this is a new day! Begin to spend time learning about the character of the God you serve, His requirements, desires and promises. You'll soon see changes in your thought process, attitude and prayer life. You want to see change in your life? Take the necessary steps to gaining spiritual knowledge and strength. Build a foundation that cannot be shaken!

Matthew 7:2-25 (NLT) Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Numbers 23:19 (NLT) God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?
