Face like Flint

How often do you wonder why bad things happen? Do you struggle finding a purpose in all the mess you go through even though you know the scripture well - that God is going to work it out for good… you still feel overwhelmed and have thoughts of doubt and insecurity rise up? In order for us to grow, we must learn to handle stress and bad news with grace. Once we get to a place where we are no longer bothered by what someone else said that one time however long ago, once we decide God's thoughts are better than the thoughts of our enemies & we decide fear doesn't look good on us and we choose to let go of the things weighing us down, then we can shake off the dirt and begin to grow! All seeds have to begin growing in the dirt! Once they are taken care of and get rooted in the good soil, they will begin to grow and rise up out of the ground.

As we make the decision to persevere and have a face like flint, we will become rooted in the unchanging Truth of God's word and increase in faith and desire to please our first love, Jesus. We will continue to grow and have opportunities set before us to help others in their journey of faith and struggle because we have been diligent to not give up. No matter what you are facing today, dear one, continue on in your battle and allow God to fight for you - be grounded in the scripture and know who you are in Christ!

Isaiah 50:7 (AMP) For the Lord God helps Me, Therefore, I have not been ashamed or humiliated. Therefore, I have made My face like flint, And I know that I shall not be put to shame.

Flint in Isaiah 50:7 means that the "Messiah would be firm and resolute amidst all contempt and scorn which he would meet; that he had made up his mind to endure it, and would not shrink from any kind or degree of suffering which would be necessary to accomplish the great work in which he was engaged."

Colossians 2:6-7 (AMP) Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.

Exodus 14:14 (AMP) The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.
