It's Not Too Late
Do you ever feel alone? Do you feel like no one cares or understands you? Maybe you even think God is too busy caring for those who are more deserving. There were times in my life when I believed the Word of God, but I just didn't believe it was meant for me. If only I was good enough, then maybe His promises would apply to my life. First of all there's nothing you can do to make yourself more appealing or lovable to God. No matter how far we've grown spiritually, our righteousness in our own strength is still just filthy rags.
No one who has walked this earth, besides Jesus, has ever achieved perfection. So, why do some seem to walk in the favor of God? Even as they go through tribulations they have peace, hear His voice, trust in His love and believe that they will be victorious? As you watch them walk out their faith you see them always come out on top even in the midst of the most difficult situations.
God doesn't have favorites and He has not turned His back on you. He loves you so much that He gave His Son as randsome for YOUR soul. His blood has afforded you the righteousness that your own striving never could. He didn't do this just for everyone else, but for YOU! The reason others have tapped into His peace, love and blessings is simply because they have drawn close enough to Him to experience it. It's there and it's got your name on it, but unlike the enemy, He doesn't force Himself on anyone. His arms are wide open and He's waiting to bless you in ways you never imagined possible. He wants to shower you with His mercy and love and give you the strength you need to persevere and overcome your weaknesses and difficulties.
It's not too late! What He's done for others He desires to do for you, but the ball is in your court... begin to take the necessary steps it will take to draw close enough to hear His voice and feel His life changing touch. The path to the Secret Place is paved with repentence, prayer and the Word of God. Choose to walk it out each and every day!
1 John 4:9-10 (NLT) God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Romans 2:11 (NKJV) For there is no partiality with God.
Isaiah 55:6-11 (NKJV) Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT) So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
