Do You Trust Him?
Psalm 9:10 (TPT) May everyone who knows your mercy keep putting their trust in you, for they can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you.
Do you trust Him? When your dreams seem to be dashed and your heart is broken... do you trust Him?
Is your faith, love, and devotion based on circumstances, how you feel, what you see, how much money you have and what's going on around you?
Jesus is calling us to deeper depths of commitment, trust, intimacy and relationship. It's a life driven by love and self sacrifice, no longer seeking God with purely selfish motives. He died a brutal death to wash away our sins, give us access to eternal life and allow us to boldly enter His throne room. Do you trust Him?
Things in your life right now, may look like chaos. You may be frantically trying to figure out how to change the situation and dictate the outcome, but He's waiting for you to take your eyes off of that and refocus your attention on Him... Do you trust Him?
That thing you've been praying and worrying about... He may desire to bless you with it, but only as you prioritize your time and relationship with Him. Do you trust Him?
It's time to stop worrying, breathe, and look intently at Jesus, force your attention on Him if you have to... then lay back and begin to worship Him... worship Him for His goodness, beauty, love, and mercy. Share your heart with Him and tell Him how much He means to you. As your focus changes from your problems to His glory, you'll find the stress begin to dissipate and you will trust that He has everything under control and your best interest in mind... In that moment...you will have no doubt that He can be trusted... He's got this and the outcome will be His best for you! He truly can be trusted. Trust Him!
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT) “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
Psalm 34:2-9 (MSG) I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with His praise. I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy: Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out. God met me more than halfway, He freed me from my anxious fears. Look at Him; give Him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from Him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot. God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see how good God is. Blessed are you who run to Him. Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all His goodness.
