Peace is a Promise He Keeps

James 3:17-18 (TPT) But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace.

How do we grab ahold of the peace that Jesus left for us? What are we allowing our minds to go through due to our own lack of obedience to the scriptures? Joshua tells us to meditate on the word of God day and night… are we following through on this one? James tells us when we are the peacemakers we reap righteousness… are we making peace with others or do we tend to cause strife and spread rumors?

Peter reminds us to cast our cares upon the Lord - leaving them there - because He cares deeply for us. Are we leaving our burdens at the altar or are we just saying we are but we are really holding on to them? Are we worrying about problems we cannot fix? We can live in peace in this life. No matter what the circumstances are - no matter how deep our pit is, God is there to pull us up out of the darkness and back into the light. Do we desire peace but have something blocking our mind from receiving? God says to come to Him and find rest. He is there for us when we are weary, He is a good Father who would do anything for us. He has given us treasures of blessings but are we using them to our advantage or are we only complaining about not having the gifts, talents and treasures that our neighbor is blessed with? Are we faithful in the little we are over? Can God trust us with more? We are partners with God and we must do our own part. When our thoughts are waging war - where do we go? What do we do? In Whom do we confide in? Jesus is the answer dear friends.

Peace is a promise He will always keep.

Philippians 4:7 (AMP) And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

1 Peter 5:7 (TPT) Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

John 16:33 (TPT) "And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”
