Praise Your Way to a Greater Life

Revelation 1:8 (NLT) “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Do you ever feel like your mistakes or current circumstances have taken God by surprise? You may think what you're going through couldn't possibly fit into His plan. Let's take Covid for instance and the current state of our world... how did it ever slip by God and what can He possibly do with this mess?

First of all, we do have an enemy whose entire existence is based on stealing, killing and destroying. Though none of this is God's plan, we do live in a fallen world. Terrible things do happen to even the best people...but we have a BIG GOD! In the midst of chaos and uncertainty we must remember that both His power and love is insurmountably greater than the anger and hatred the devil is spewing in our direction. If we are living for Jesus, he will hate us and do everything in his power to keep us from fulfilling our destiny and serving God in any capacity.

We must be aware of his tactics and not be intimidated by his lies. Most importantly we need to realize that even as God created the earth He already saw 2020 and new exactly what was to come. He also knew every mistake and bad choice we would make and had a way of escape already planned out. He knew about a Corona virus that the enemy would send to keep people from going to church, isolate them from the world, wreak havoc on their emotions, make them ill and stir up a fear they had never experienced before.

None of this is a surprise to God, but whether we are in the midst of a pandemic or life as usual, there is only one certain way to remain at peace and that's to draw closer to Him than we ever have before. As the fire is turned up so should our passion for Jesus! The greatest retaliation we could have on the enemy is to allow his attacks to drive us into God's arms and draw strength from His power and love!

There’s an onslaught of reasons to focus in the enemy's direction. Constant diversions screaming for our attention, but there is a place of peace, healing, refreshing, strength and pure joy! Instead of giving the negative circumstances the results they desire, give God praise…glorious praise in the midst of the most difficult moments! Sickness, fear, loss, depression, financial difficulties and relational problems, cannot withstand the glorious praises of God’s Children! Seek, trust and worship Him, and one day you’ll remember the days of a pandemic that led you deeper into the presence of God and incredibly changed your entire life forever! It’s ultimately our choice…will this season destroy you or make you stronger?

Psalm 148:18-21 (TPT) You draw near to those who call out to you, listening closely, especially when their hearts are true. Every one of your godly lovers receives even more than what they ask for. For you hear what their hearts really long for and you bring them your saving strength. God, you watch carefully over all your lovers like a bodyguard, but you will destroy the ungodly. I will praise you, Lord! Let everyone everywhere join me in praising the beautiful Lord of holiness from now through eternity!

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Romans 8:28, (NASB) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Psalms 31:14-16 (NLT) But I am trusting you, O LORD, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.
