Exhausted & Stressed Out
Lack of sleep, physical pain and stressful situations can be exhausting to experience. Yup! That was my day today. Haven't slept much in quite a while, fighting pain and though I have no doubt that this is a battle I've already won by Christ's stripes, I'm still in the midst of it. I go to work today, fighting back tears and I'm faced with one confrontation after the other. Why am I telling you all of this... it's certainly not for pity... the fact is, I'm not writing this from a place of despair, but one of victory, peace and joy! Though my day wasn't what I planned or desired, it finished in the most amazing way and I realize just how completely blessed I am!
All day I kept thinking about the moment I could come home, run into my bedroom and close the door... yes, I pray throughout the day...but it's that moment when the door shuts behind me that I fall into the arms of Jesus and pour out my heart to Him... that's where I feel complete peace rush over me. Tonight it came immediately. I felt His arms wrap around me and hold me tight. There may not be another soul on earth that cares to hear your problems. That's okay, we have a God who not only cares... He knows exactly what we are feeling in our lowest moments. He bore our pain... He carried it on that cross, He felt it and paid the price to set us free from it.
At this moment nothing much has changed, but the weight of the burden is lifted. He's taken it and I feel complete peace and joy in His presence. I have no doubt that the manifestation of the healing will soon follow, but while I'm waiting I have a glorious presence that removes all stress and it repels the depression that dared to try and approach me! I am the daughter of the Most High God and the Bride of Christ! I am victorious in Jesus name and I WIN!!!
The reason I'm sharing this with you is because we are all faced with days like this and even seasons of steady attacks from the enemy. The temptation to give up can be quite real. There's only one course of action that will bring victory and that's running to Jesus and focusing completely on Him! Rebuke the enemy, resist Him and the temptation to wallow in self-pity. You too are more than a conqueror!! There's no battle too big for our God, no pain He can't heal, no problem He can't fix, no mind He can't calm and no heart He can't comfort. We just have to position ourselves to believe His promises and find comfort and rest in His presence. Stop trying to fix it or figure it all out. Give it to God! HE'S GOT THIS!

But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
